Australia is the sunniest continent on earth, and here at Solar Citizens our mission is to see the whole country use those amazing solar resources to power our homes and businesses with clean, cheap energy. Instead, we’ve seen attacks on solar and renewables coming thick and fast.

We have a federal government intent on destroying the future of renewables in this country; we've seen key politicians rubbishing solar and spreading misinformation in the media; and now we hear the Turnbull Government wants to spend clean energy funding from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) on new coal power stations.

Together, solar owners and supporters are powerful. Thousands of Solar Citizens came together to save the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and, together, we successfully saved $800 million in crucial renewables funding. What's more, over the past two years we've stood up to the big power companies every time, rolling back proposals for unfair charges and solar taxes in every state of Australia. 

We're determined to keep packing a punch for solar in 2017. Your donation will help us train hundreds more volunteers to speak to their MPs and in the media, run more community events and supercharge our efforts to grow the Solar Citizens movement across Australia.
