Help WA Solar Citizens get to Canberra

Help WA Solar Citizens get to Canberra

On Monday December 1, our team of 20 Solar Citizens volunteers from all over Australia will be heading to Parliament House to meet with decision makers and to step up our campaign to protect the Renewable Energy Target. It's the first day of summer and the first day of the final Parliamentary sitting week for the year - a critical moment to show our MPs what real community support for solar looks like.

Can you chip in to help our WA Solar Citizens volunteer get to Canberra?

Your contribution will go towards covering volunteers' travel and accommodation expenses and our team will know that you and so many solar supporters from all over country are right behind them!

Meet WA's volunteer

Stef

Stef has always wanted solar panels but it took quite a few years and a move to Australia to make the dream come true.

Community minded, Stef has been a campaigner on many issues but it was the changes WA’s State Premier wanted to make to her contract that led her to Solar Citizens. That was a successful outcome for people in WA and Solar Citizens, however Stef could see there is more to be done to protect not only WA’s interest in solar but Australia’s too.

Stef is retired and lives with her husband, 28 solar panels and a cat!
